SOS button app that lets your child reach you in one tap
If your child feels scared or lost, they press SOS in Tigrow. You and every other connected parent get an alert, together with the place they sent it from. The SOS button is free.
When your child might need the SOS button
Moments when finding your number and waiting for an answer takes too long.
They feel unsafe on the way home
Plans changed and nobody came to pick them up
You are in a meeting and do not pick up
They are too upset to explain on the phone
How Kid Security gets your child's call for help to you
From one tap on your child’s phone to an alert on yours.
Your child presses SOS
The button is in Tigrow, so there is no number to find and nobody to wait for.
Every connected parent gets it
Mum, dad and anyone else connected to your child get the alert at the same time, so help does not depend on one person picking up.
The alert comes with a place
You see where your child sent it from, so you know where to go or whom to call.
Check the map for more
Open the map in the same family tracking app to see where your child is now and when the point was updated.
Call them back
Phone your child straight away. If they do not answer, a loud signal makes their phone ring even on silent (Premium).
What the SOS button can and cannot do
SOS is a fast way for your child to reach you. It does not replace the emergency services: if your child is in danger, teach them to call 999 first.
What the feature does
Sends an alert from your child’s phone to every parent connected to them, with the place it was sent from.
How it helps you
You learn straight away that your child needs you, and where they are, without a long call.
What your child sees
Tigrow is openly installed on their phone, and the SOS button is right there in the app.
What it needs to work
Your child’s phone must be on and connected to the internet. Without a connection, the SOS does not go through.
Free on both systems
The SOS button is part of the free plan and works on Android and iPhone.
How to set up the SOS button
Install Kid Security on your phone
Install Tigrow on your child's phone
Pair the phones
Connect the second parent
Show your child the button
Tigrow is where the SOS button lives
Tigrow is the child's side of the service. The SOS button, location sharing and tasks all live there, so your child has one app that works for them, not against them.
SOS in one tap
If your child feels worried, they send a signal straight from the app, together with the place they called for help from. Every parent connected to the child gets it.
Shares location
While Tigrow is on your child’s phone, you see them on the map and get alerts about the places that matter.
Tasks and coins
Study, chores and sport become tasks with a reward, so your child does not see the app as a punishment.
Why a phone call is not always the fastest way to ask for help
A call reaches one person, and only if they pick up. SOS reaches every connected parent at once and brings the place with it. A call still has one advantage: it works without mobile data.
Parent and child connected in a few minutes
Two apps work as a pair: yours and your child's.
SOS on Android and on iPhone
The SOS button works the same on Android and iPhone. Differences between the systems show up in other features, such as app limits on a child’s iPhone, which run through Apple Screen Time.

An SOS button your child chooses to use. SOS only helps if your child trusts it. Tigrow sits openly on their home screen, and nothing about it is secret. Talk about when SOS makes sense and when a message will do, and it becomes a safety habit rather than a test.
Questions parents ask about the SOS button
How does the SOS button in Tigrow work?
Your child presses SOS in Tigrow on their phone. Every parent connected to that child gets an alert in Kid Security, together with the place it was sent from.
Who gets the SOS alert?
Every parent connected to the child, for example both mum and dad. The alert reaches all of them at once, so it does not depend on one person picking up.
Does SOS work without the internet?
No. SOS needs your child’s phone to be switched on and online, over mobile data or Wi-Fi. Without a connection the alert does not go through, so make sure your child also knows how to phone you and, in an emergency, how to call 999. You see your child’s battery level in the app and get a warning at 15%, so you can remind them to charge the phone in time.
Is the SOS button free?
Yes. The SOS button is part of the free plan, together with location on the map, safe zones with alerts for one zone and unlimited child profiles.
Does the SOS button work on iPhone?
Yes. The SOS button works on both Android and iPhone. Your child needs Tigrow on their phone, paired with Kid Security on yours.
Does SOS call the emergency services?
No. The SOS in Tigrow alerts you, the parents. Emergency SOS built into iPhone and Android phones is a different feature: it calls the emergency services and can share the phone’s location with emergency contacts. It is handled by Apple and Google, not by Kid Security.
What should I do when I get an SOS?
Look at where your child is, then call them. If you cannot get through and you are worried about their safety, call 999. With Premium, a loud signal makes their phone ring even if it is on silent.
How is the SOS button different from the loud signal?
They work in opposite directions. Your child sends an SOS when they need you: it is free and reaches every connected parent. You send the loud signal when you cannot reach your child: it makes their phone ring even on silent and is part of Premium.
Do we need a kids' smartwatch with an SOS button?
Not for SOS. Tigrow puts the SOS button on the phone your child already carries, together with location and safe zones, so there is no extra device to charge or lose.
Help that is one tap away
What SOS changes for a family on an ordinary day.
When it is pressed, it reaches everyone who should know at once, with the place it came from. Mum in a meeting and dad on the Tube no longer means nobody answers.
When it is pressed, it reaches everyone who should know at once, with the place it came from. Mum in a meeting and dad on the Tube no longer means nobody answers.
SOS is not a way to watch your child. It is a way for them to reach you, which is why it is worth showing it to them and agreeing together when to use it.
